Is This Your Burden to Carry?

Self Care

Summertime. I love it! But with summer comes a season of discontent for those around me. Bored. Don't know what they want to do. Wanting my time and focus, despite the fact I'm not bored, and I DO know what I want to do.

So the question becomes, is solving the "I'm bored" problem a burden I need to carry? Do I need to find things for those around me to do? Do I need to sacrifice my planned day of passion project planning, or reading, or yoga, so others are satisfied?

My inclination is to give up my wants to satisfy everyone else's. And because of this, I consciously ask myself "Is this burden mine to carry?". Next up, conquering the guilt that comes with saying "no".
