In this comprehensive six-week course, adults who work with kids and teens will gain essential tools and strategies to build resilience in young people aged 12 to 25. Whether you are a teacher, coach, counselor, or youth worker, this course is designed to enhance your ability to support and empower the kids and teens you interact with daily. What You Will Learn: Adolescent Stages of Development: Understanding the critical phases of adolescence. Recognizing developmental milestones and challenges. Coaching vs. Therapy: Distinguishing between coaching and therapeutic approaches. Applying coaching techniques in your work with kids. Self-Care and Stress Management: Prioritizing self-care for adults working with youth. Effective stress management techniques for both adults and teens. Self-Identity and Self-Compassion: Promoting positive self-identity in adolescents. Fostering self-worth and self-compassion. Optimism vs. Pessimism: Encouraging a positive outlook in kids and teens. Balancing realistic optimism with critical thinking. Human Agency and Motivation: Understanding self-determined motivation. Building self-efficacy and empowering youth. Meaning and Purpose: Helping young people find meaning and purpose. Setting effective goals and planning for success. Identifying Strengths and Skills: Recognizing and leveraging existing strengths, traits, and skills. Building social capital and positive structural supports. Healthy Interactions and Boundaries: Promoting healthy interactions and relationships. Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries. Optimizing Capacity and Habit Formation: Enhancing capacity for personal growth. Facilitating habit formation and behavior change. Managing Thoughts, Emotions, and Behaviors: Developing strategies for managing thoughts and emotions. Supporting behavioral management and progress tracking. Social Media and Device Use: Navigating the impact of social media and devices on mental health ​ 6-week program to learn how to build resilience in kids, and move them toward thriving • One live online group session each week • Workbook and resources to support you • Option to add a private, confidential coaching session each week with Jo • Commitment to take action for progress between sessions ​Cost: $600
