Work With Me

JoOutLoud supports organizations, schools, teams, and families dealing with youth conflict, behaviour concerns, online harm, or situations that feel hard to manage. Services range from direct restorative leadership and facilitation to licensed school programs and selective youth resilience coaching.

When things involving youth feel complex, fragile, or high-stakes

The work I do is not about quick fixes, assemblies, or one-size-fits-all programming.

I’m brought in when:

  • something has happened, or is about to

  • adults feel pressure to act quickly

  • the risk of escalation, harm, or missteps feels real

  • and getting it wrong would have lasting consequences

Below are the four ways I work with parents, schools, teams, and organizations. If you’re unsure which fits, we start with a conversation.

Custom Restorative Programs

For complex or high-stakes situations involving youth

This work is for moments where behaviour is only part of the story, and where adult response will shape what happens next.

Custom restorative programs are time-bound, structured, and grounded in assessment. They are designed to slow escalation, centre youth dignity, and support accountability and repair without blame or panic.

Best suited for:

  • serious conflict, harm, or rupture

  • online or reputational harm

  • power imbalances or fractured trust

  • situations where fear, urgency, or silence are driving decisions

What this work includes:

  • assessment and scope clarification

  • restorative framing and preparation

  • facilitated dialogue or restorative processes

  • clear boundaries around role, responsibility, and next steps

JoOutLoud BenchTalk

Restorative culture, accountability, and reintegration in youth sport

BenchTalk is a restorative intervention designed specifically for youth teams and sport environments. It addresses communication under pressure, accountability, online behaviour, power dynamics, and reintegration, before or after harm has occurred.

BenchTalk is used when:

  • team culture feels tense or fractured

  • conflict or online behaviour is impacting trust

  • a player is returning after harm or discipline

  • adults want accountability without scapegoating

BenchTalk is delivered through assessment and matched to the needs of the team. It is not a motivational talk — it is culture work.

Licensed School Programs

Prevention and skill-building, delivered by trained facilitators

JoOutLoud licenses two preventative school programs that support youth and educators through a restorative, responsibility-focused lens:

  • Starting a Social Media Conversation

  • Starting an AI Conversation

These programs centre youth voice, shared responsibility, and practical conversation, moving beyond fear-based or rule-only approaches. It includes a parent support component.

Programs are delivered by trained JoOutLoud facilitators, allowing schools to access this work at scale while preserving quality and integrity.

Speaking and Facilitation

Keynotes and professional learning

I offer restorative keynotes and facilitated sessions for audiences who want more than inspiration. This work is grounded, practical, and designed to shift how adults think, respond, and lead, especially when working with young people.

Common contexts include:

  • educator and administrator professional learning

  • conferences and leadership events

  • sport and community organization gatherings

Speaking engagements may stand alone or support broader restorative work, depending on context.

Not Sure What Fits?

If you’re navigating a situation involving youth and aren’t sure what kind of support is appropriate, start with a conversation.

We’ll clarify:

  • what’s actually at stake

  • what kind of response is needed

  • whether this work is the right fit
